Yes, babies need food, clothes, blankets, toys and the general baby products…
They need love. And currently, where is that love coming from? It’s coming from the precious people who are caring for them – either temporarily until they go to a forever home, or sometimes for longer than that.
What happens if there are no one to care for these little tiny humans? It’s all good and well that we all want to rescue these babies and make donations for the babies, but we need to remember who actually does the hard work…
They most probably have families of their own and they work long hours – looking after babies day & night, every day, seven days a week is not child’s play… It’s extremely hard work.
Here I am thinking that having twins with a nanny five days a week is exhausting… Well, newsflash! These caring souls look after quite a couple of children at once… All different ages.
We will definitely be more aware when doing donation runs to include these wonderful people – even if it is just something as small as a cupcake.
Isn’t it great when you receive something different or nice at your workplace? Something to uplift you and make your day…
Well, let’s go the extra mile and make their day too – actually, make their days, not just one day… They deserve it. They give up so much, themselves, their families, their time, their love… The least we can do is to support them and keep them going. After all, it’s not just a job for them.
The babies and children do play a huge role in all of this and if we could rescue each and every one of them and give them a loving home with a proper chance at life, that would be awesome!
But for now, let’s start with what we have and who we have… Let’s keep them going and encourage them to wake up each morning (or night, depending on which shift they have) to get up with a smile and go on about their day to change several lives.
Just think about what it must feel like to make a difference in many lives on a daily basis… Now, that is awesome!
